Cuttlefish Extract Color (also known as Cuttlefish Ink or Squid Ink) is a natural black pigment obtained from the ink sac of cuttlefish. Its principal coloring component is melanin. Unlike vegetable carbon black, it offers a unique savory taste (umami) along with a deep black color.
